Stornoway House Gallery is owned and operated by Artists Wil and Carolyn MacKay located at 513 North 6th Street in the Historic Lowertown Arts District. Stornoway House Gallery features upscale contemporary crafts, fine art, collectibles, and decorative accessories.
Carolyn MacKay, co-owner of Stornoway House Gallery with her husband Wil, has a long career in the Arts.
A graduate of The Vesper George School of Art in Boston, she did advanced studies at The Museum School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and at Massachusetts College of Art. In addition, she rounded out her extensive background with courses in a variety of Contemporary Handcrafts.
Working professionally for many years in Commercial Art in Boston, specializing in Air Brush Art and Illustration, she also has considerable experience and expertise in the Fiber Arts including Spinning and Weaving, in Vitreous Enamel on Copper Kiln work, print making, and in the design and handcrafting of Precious Metal Jewelry.
Wil MacKay is an oil painter of landscapes, still life and maritime scenes, particularly of the Cape Ann, Massachusetts’s seaports of Gloucester and Rockport.
Tuesday: 10-6pm, Wednesday: 10am -6pm, Thursday: 10am -8pm
Friday: 10am -8pm, Saturday: 10am -6pm (and Second Saturdays of the month 1-9pm)
