Nancy Calcutt
relocated from Nashville, TN
Nancy Calcutt was recruited into the Artist Relocation Program in 2003. This former art professor has a BFA and an MFA in painting, and taught for sixteen years before moving to Paducah. Her work is strongly figurative with a style that borders between realism and expressionism. Nancy was a psychology major before becoming an art major and some of her favorite pieces reveal this fascination with human nature. She is often inspired by the connections and interaction between the human and natural worlds.
Nancy Calcutt Studio (formerly Dancing Dog Fine Art) is her showcase gallery and working studio. Commissioned portraits are one of her studio specialties.
